HAPPY EASTER

HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE !!!

The Bride...

My friend's daughter just got married this past weekend and she asked me to be the photographer (I'm not a professional photographer and she was fine with that.  I, however, stressed out over it profusely!!!)

These are a few of my favorites:  (such a beautiful bride)

A moment alone to gather her thoughts... wonder what they are?  Sun shining through the stained glass.

Relaxing before the big moment...

As a married couple...

Captured in the sunlight...

and again.

SQUISHIE & CHOWDER

SUGAR GLIDERS (a.k.a. Sugar Bears)

Sugar Gliders are marsupials and are wild animals.  They have not been added to the domesticated pets list anywhere.  I'm not even sure I agree with humans owning them.  Even though their life expectancy is considerably lengthened by NOT living in the wild since they are yummy to a lot of predators and have no real means of defense.  If threatened, they stand up as tall as they possibly can and hold out their little arms.  That shows the folds of skin that attach from front legs to back (also allows them to glide - much like a flying squirrel) So they look like a rectangle and they growl apparently like bear which is why they got the name "sugar bear".

Regardless, my sister got two females, and named them Chowder and Squishie.  They are legal in Maryland where my sister lives however, they are not legal in Fairfax County, Virginia where I live.  I have to say, they are the most adorable little critters!!  So soft and cuddly.  Here's a couple pictures so you can see what I mean!  I fell in love with them!

This is Squishie:

This is also Squishie:

So, what do you think?  Adorable?!

Isn't Ollie The Cutest!!

This is the cutest little guy we ran across while we were walking through downtown Shephardstown,  WVA.
I missed the exit on 81 coming home after picking up my daughter from camp in Strasburg, VA and ended up in West Virginia.  Ollie was the highlight!!

My Foster Cat, Gunston

My Gunston was adopted to an elderly couple yesterday.  It was very hard to let him go.  My daughter cried all the way home.  I had gotten quite attached to him.  He's such a handsome cat and he's huge but not fat.  His new family is going to rename him to paprika, pronounced POP ree kosh which is Hungarian for "seasoned with paprika".  They will call him Kashi for short!  Hopefully this will be just the home he deserves.  They have another older cat called Sascha.

HELLO, HELLO, HELLO, Welcome

Well, since I've retired the "Fiber Fairy" I decided I would switch my domain since it was time to renew.  I am now "http://denise.milessite.com".  Hopefully I will be better about updating this one.  Only time will tell!!!!
